Was Wes Unseld a good defensive player? I know he was short for a center and a good rebounder, but did he just hold his own on defense? Or better? Or worse?
I can only go on contemporary accounts and what some basic statistics tell us. Unseld was never named to an All-Defensive Team, so I think it's safe to say he wasn't considered a great defender. Good to very good? Probably. The Bullets usually had a pretty good defense during Unseld's tenure.
