It's worth noting that the only team to come back from 1-3 twice against the same opponent are the Celtics vs the Sixers, in the 1968 and 1981 ECF (en route to a title in both cases), so last night carries an extra historical edge.

The 1968 series was the very first instance of a 1-3 comeback.

Boston also came back from 1-3 down to 3-3 in the 1982 ECF against Philadelphia, nearly pulling a repeat, but lost game 7 at home (with the memorable chants of "Beat L.A.!" from the Celtics fans to the 76ers players in the closing minutes of the game).

Excluding Denver's back to back 1-3 to 4-3 comebacks vs Utah and the Clippers in the 2020 bubble, yesterday was the 4th time out of 12 of completing it on the road.

Well, it didn't take long to get another 1-3 repeat between teams - the Pistons have also pulled one against the Magic in 2003, the first year that R1 became best-of-7.

Ten Celtics played last night but only five of them scored. I have to imagine that's historically significant, but not sure how you'd factor out garbage time minutes (which Boston didn't play last night)
